William is a composer, orchestrator and conductor working in film, television and the concert hall. As a composer he specialises in wildlife and history documentary and has scored films for all the major broadcasters. Examples of recent work include the award-winning Miracle in the Marshes of Iraq (BBC), Secrets of the Arabian Nights (BBC, presented by Richard E. Grant), and Nordic Wild - a four part series on the wildlife of Scandinavia for National Geographic International.

As orchestrator and conductor, William works nationally with the BBC Concert Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and has collaborated on stage and in the recording studio with a wide variety of composers and international soloists. Projects include the Emmy Award winning wildlife series Wild China (BBC), and Future:Retro with Roni Size and Reprazent. William has conducted Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra since 2001, and regularly works in the studio with Bristol Ensemble session orchestra.

William is Senior Associate Teacher on the Music for Film and Television MA at Bristol University, and gives seminars on Music for Film for a variety of national organisations including Wildscreen International Film FestivalMusic Industry Education, City University London, and Earth Music Bristol.
